Review: Missha Cell Renew Snail Cream

When the 10-Step Korean Skincare Routine first took the States by storm this Missha Cell Renew Snail Cream ($35) was one of the most widely talked about night creams. It won a Soko Glam Best of Beauty Award and was featured on NBC's Today Show so it has to be amazing, right?

Unfortunately, I'd disagree.

Product Description
This Missha night cream contains 70% snail extract, or as I would call it, snail slime! Snail mucin is believed to support natural cell regeneration and replenish moisture to increase firmness in the skin.

Scent & Texture
Being made of 70% snail mucin sounds like this product would smell and feel pretty funky. But don't worry, it feels like a regular gel cream and smells just like cucumbers.

Results
I used the Missha Cell Renew Snail Cream every night as part of my skincare routine for almost half a year but didn't notice any significant improvement. This is not to discredit all products with snail mucin as the primary ingredient as this is the only one I've tried. But in my opinion, the Missha Cell Renew Snail Cream is all hype and the lack of results certainly does not justify the price tag.
